Tips And Considerations
- Guided journeys are available for Terminate employment and Resign from employment pages.
- You can make use of these pages only if you’re currently using version 3 of the Terminate Employment and Resign from Employment pages. To know about the current version of your pages, see Termination and Resignation Version 2 versus Version 3. If you're a new user, ensure that you're configuring the Termination and Resignation Version 3.
- You can modify the Termination and Resignation dates and Action fields while you're in the When and why step. After you navigate to the next step, the Termination and Resignation dates and Action fields are fixed and can't be modified.
- In case of an Involuntary Termination in the future, a user invokes Resignation again, and the responsive Resign from Employment UI is displayed.
- No derivation occurs for the Termination Date based on the notice period when you select the Notification Date.
- Users can implement Defaulting rules once the Business Rule support is available to derive any values.
- All the termination validations are performed when you click Continue or Submit.
- The Termination Action for the manager will be visible to users if they have a reportee on the termination date.
- The list of assignments appears in ascending order based on the logical start date of the Assignments. In case of multiple assignments starting on the same day, the assignment sequence will serve as the differentiating factor.
- The Rehire Authorizer and Rehire reason can be updated regardless of the Rehire Recommendation value. Additionally, the display of these fields isn’t controlled based on the Rehire Recommendation.
- No defaulting of the Termination date occurs when selecting the action as Death.
- Work Relationship Termination Info contains both, termination attributes and the descriptive flexfields for Work Relationship Termination.
- Assignment Termination Info contains both, termination attributes and the descriptive flexfields for Assignment Termination.
- Re-assign Directs feature supports only the invoked assignment.
- The Notification Date will not be defaulted with the System Date.
- The Termination and Resignation Version 3 isn't a privileged transaction. If other transactions like promotion and transfer are pending approval, that message will be conveyed to the user.
- In the Resign from Employment journey, the worker should have the aggregate privilege to manage additional assignment information to be able to add additional assignment information.
- The existing direct reports section is rendered in a questionnaire if the worker had any reports at any time.
- Due to some limitations in Business Rules, the headers in Business Rules are generic. For example, Termination Assignment Info and Termination Work Relationship Info instead of Resignation Assignment Info and Resignation Work Relationship Info respectively.
- The button visibility in Visual Builder Studio is controlled using DSP:
- Reverse Termination: Reverse Employment Termination (PER_REVERSE_WORK_RELATIONSHIP_TERMINATION_DATA)
- Correct Termination: Correct Employment Termination (PER_CORRECT_WORK_RELATIONSHIP_TERMINATION_DATA)
- Withdraw Resignation: Withdraw Resignation (PER_WITHDRAW_RESIGNATION_DATA)
