Progress Job Applications Without Sending Notifications to Candidates

You can progress job applications through the candidate selection process without notifications being sent to the candidates.

Your administrator can configure an option in the candidate selection process to not send candidate notifications. Notifications used in the context of a job application (related to a specific job application) aren’t sent if all the following conditions are met:

  • The job application is on a requisition for which the candidate selection process is configured to not send notifications to candidates.
  • The notification is sent using a Recruiting Content Library category which is identified to send a notification according to the setting in the candidate selection process configuration. See table below.

NOTE: Notifications which aren’t in the context of a job application (not related to a specific job application but related to the candidate) are sent as usual.

With this feature, you can prevent some notifications being sent to the candidate if they don't need to be informed about their job application, such as when a staffing agent is responsible of representing the candidate for example.

Steps to Enable

You can configure a candidate selection process to not send notifications to candidates. A new option is available on the Process Properties page.

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
    • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
    • Functional Area: Candidate Job Applications
    • Task: Candidate Selection Process Configuration
  2. On the Candidate Selection Process Configuration page, create a new process or open an existing one.
  3. Click the Edit Process Properties button.
  4. On the Process Properties page, in the Configuration section, select a value in the Notifications to Candidates field:
    • Send Notifications (default value)
    • Don’t Send Notifications
  5. Click Save and Close.
