Additional Configuration for Microsoft Graph Integration

You can configure the Microsoft Graph integration using certificates for authentication and by defining different endpoints to integrate with different Microsoft Graph national cloud deployments.

When you configure the Microsoft Graph Integration in the Setup and Maintenance work area, the Application Authentication Type field offers a new authentication method: Certificate. You now have the choice to use a certificate or a password (client secret) to authenticate.

National clouds are also supported when using the Microsoft Graph integration. National clouds are environments (different than the Microsoft global environment) which are made available by Microsoft for country-specific needs. If you're using such national clouds, you now have the possibility to configure the endpoints used by the Microsoft Graph integration, allowing to connect to the desired national cloud. If you keep the default endpoints, the integration will connect to the Microsoft global environment as it did before.

With these enhancements, certification-based authentication provides enhanced security and the Microsoft Graph integration can be used with national clouds.

Steps to Enable

You first need to create a certificate on Microsoft Azure portal. For detailed instructions, see the Set Up Microsoft 365 Integration for Interview Scheduling and Emails (Doc ID 2664168.1) technical brief on My Oracle Support.

You then need to deploy the certificate in Oracle Recruiting:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to:
    • Offering: Recruiting and Candidate Experience
    • Functional Area: Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management
    • Task: Enterprise Recruiting and Candidate Experience Information
  2. Expand the Microsoft Graph Integration section and click Edit.
  3. Select the Enable Calendar Integration option or the Enable Email Integration option. The certificate-based authentication is available for both options.
  4. In the Application Authentication Type field, select Certificate.
  5. Click Browse to select and upload the certificate created earlier on Microsoft Azure portal.
  6. Enter the certificate password.
  7. You can validate the integration to ensure the connection is successful.
  8. Click Save.

To set up national cloud:

  3. Clear the Use Default Endpoints check box.
  4. Enter values in the Microsoft Entra ID Endpoint and Microsoft Graph Endpoint fields
  5. Click Save.

For values to enter in these fields, refer to Microsoft Graph national cloud deployments.
