Paid Break Management Enhancement

While defining work pattern shifts, you now also see paid break durations, calculated from the list of breaks defined on the work pattern shifts. Previously you saw only unpaid break durations.

When a schedule manager generates assigned shifts, either for fixed-time work patterns or automatically generated schedules, the workforce schedule shifts inherit the paid break durations defined on workers' work pattern shifts. And while viewing the shift details, the schedule manager can see both paid and unpaid break durations in minutes.

The Schedule manager can edit the paid break duration. Also when adding open shifts, they can specify the paid break duration for the shift.

While assigning an open shift without a paid break duration, the schedule manager is informed that no paid break is defined for the shifts, even if the worker has a work pattern that includes at least one paid break.

On work pattern shifts on their calendar, workers see the break information as defined on their work pattern, in the shift details. On published schedule shifts, workers now see their paid breaks from their workforce schedule shifts, as well as their unpaid breaks. Their paid breaks are also now included in the generated ICS file.

These enhancements help schedule managers define accurate schedules, including scheduled shifts with paid breaks. The enhancements also let workers organize their day better because they can see their total allocated break time.
