Workforce Schedule Enhancements for Schedulers

You can now see float shifts on your schedules. They'll have the label Floating to <Department-Name>, as shown here:

You can change the start or stop times for shifts in a day view by resizing or moving them. You can change the day for shifts by moving them in a week view. Assign open shifts by moving them to a worker in the Worker view. Unassign shifts by moving them from the worker to the open shifts area of the Worker view. And reassign shifts by moving them from one worker to another in the Worker view.

You can now define and manage unpaid and paid breaks when defining shifts. Previously, you could only manage unpaid breaks. You can also specify that overtime is allowed for all open shifts when publishing schedules.

When the day start time for schedules isn't midnight, shifts that start on the day before the start time will have a reference day of the previous day. Schedules that have shifts with a reference day that the last day of the previous schedule period will have an additional day at the end of that previous schedule to show the shift that overlaps the schedule periods. You can't edit shifts with a reference day in the previous schedule period. When you open the shift details drawer, you'll see a message about this behavior.

These improvements make it easier for schedulers to manage their schedules.
