Projects Integration Transfer Only When Project Costing Entries Change Enhancement

Reduce transfers to Project Costing because of time entry changes on time cards that also include Payroll Time Type or custom attributes. Now, time entry changes transfer only when there are changes to Project Costing attributes or the entry-level classification. Entry-level classification changes happen when a payroll or custom attribute is added to or deleted from the time entry.

Here are two examples of changes to payroll time type attributes that don't result in time entry transfers to Project Costing.

  • The time card has separate Project, Task, Expenditure Type Name, and Pay Time Type fields. The original time entry transferred to Project Costing had a Pay Time Type of ZXT_Regular. The value later changed to YTL_Regular. Becaues the Project, Task, and Expenditure Type Name values didn't change, the entry doesn't transfer to Project Costing again.

  • The time card includes the Time Type field with Regular and Overtime options. These options both have the same Expenditure Type value, but different Payroll Time Type values. The original Monday entry transferred to Project Costing with the Overtime attribute values. The entry was later changed to Regular. Because the Expenditure Type value didn't change, the entry doesn't transfer to Project Costing again.

Here's an example of an entry-level classification change that does result in time entry transfer to Project Costing. The time card has separate Project, Task, Expenditure Type Name, and Pay Time Type fields. The original time entry transferred to Project Costing didn't have a Pay Time Type value. The entry was later changed to include the YTL_Overtime pay type type. Even though the project attribute values didn't change, the entry-level classification changed from only Project Costing to Project Costing and Global Payroll, so the time entry change transfers to Project Costing.

This enhancement reduces credit memo creation for changes that don't affect Project Costing.
