Redwood Experience: Search for a Bank from the Personal Payment Method Page
You can now search for a bank using the branch identifier on the Redwood personal payment method page. This feature is available for all legislations that contain the branch identifier in their bank account structure, even if you preload bank branch information.
For example, you can use the routing number as the branch identifier for the United States to search for the bank and branch when creating a bank account to map with the personal payment method. Similarly, you can use sort code for the United Kingdom and transit number for Canada.
Redwood personal payment method page now allows you to search for a bank by its branch identifier.
Steps to Enable
This feature only works when the CE_USE_EXISTING_BANK_BRANCH profile option is set to Yes. If the CE_USE_EXISTING_BANK_BRANCH option is set to No, you can create the bank account by entering the branch identifier (for example, routing number or sort code) manually.
Use these steps to enable the Use Existing Banks and Branches profile option:
- Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance area and search for the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the CE_USE_EXISTING_BANK_BRANCH profile option.
- In the Profile Values section, click Add.
- Specify the level at which the profile value is to be set. Select Site.
- Set the Profile Value as Yes.
- Click Save and Close.
Use these steps to enable the feature opt-in:
- Navigate to the Setup and Maintenance area and search for the Manage Common Lookups task.
- On the Manage Common Lookups page, search for and select the lookup type ORA_PAY_PPM_CONTROLLED_FEATURE.
- In the Lookup Codes section, create a lookup code with the following details:
- Lookup Code: ENABLE_BRANCH_NUM_SEARCH
- Meaning: ENABLE_BRANCH_NUM_SEARCH
- Description: Any meaningful description.
- Enabled: Select the check box.
- Tag: For the countries for which you want to enable this feature, add the respective 2 letter country code prefixed with a "+".
- Click Save and Close
Tips And Considerations
If you have already enabled the feature using the standard lookup type ORA_IBY_CONTROLLED_FEATURES, the feature will continue to work as intended.
If you want to manage availability of this feature by country, configure the feature using the common lookup type ORA_PAY_PPM_CONTROLLED_FEATURE.
