Change in Default Value of Profile Option for Redwood Document Records in Update 25D
Effective from Update 25D, Redwood Document Records pages will be enabled by default. We recommend transitioning to Redwood Document Records, which was introduced in Update 24A.
The Responsive Document Records pages will no longer be available by default. However, they can still be accessed by manually setting the relevant profile option to No.
Here’s why you should make the move now:
-
Modern and Intuitive Experience: Redwood pages offer a streamlined, user-friendly interface.
-
Improved Efficiency and Performance: Built with the Redwood toolset, the new pages reduce the number of clicks and enhance overall performance.
-
Consistent Application Flow: Benefit from a cohesive user experience across the application.
-
End of Support: Responsive Document Records pages will no longer be supported for any bug fixes, nor will they be enhanced.
-
Automatic Enablement: The site-level profile option ORA_PER_DOCUMENT_RECORDS_REDWOOD_ENABLED will be set to Yes by default.
To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend that you adopt Redwood Document Records ahead of Update 25D.
NOTE: When you enable Redwood for the Document Records landing page, the view, add, edit, and delete Document Records pages are also automatically Redwood enabled.

Redwood Document Records List Page
The new page is built using the Redwood toolset and offers a fewer number of clicks and better performance. By using these new pages or flows, you can take advantage of the cohesiveness through the application.
Steps to Enable
To work with the Redwood Document Records page, you must first enable the ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED profile option, and then the ORA_PER_DOCUMENT_RECORDS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. By default, the profile options are delivered as disabled. If you want to use the Redwood Document Records page, you need to set the profile options to Yes.
After release 25D, if you want to use the Responsive Document Records page, you need to set the profile option to No.
To enable the profile options, refer to this topic: How do I enable a profile option?
