Improved Business Rules Configuration for Descriptive Flexfields in Redwood Document Records

You can now configure business rules for document records descriptive flexfields by setting different properties as needed.

We have removed the existing default read-only expression from the descriptive flexfield context value in the business rules. This is done so that you can now configure the rule based on your requirements.

You can personalize the user experience for document records by configuring the business rules for a specified document type.

Steps to Enable

Leverage the Visual Builder Studio to expose your applications. To learn more about extending your application using Visual Builder, visit Oracle Help Center > your apps service area of interest > Books > Configuration and Extension.

Tips And Considerations

  • This feature is applicable on Redwood Document Record pages.

  • This is applicable for both Global and context sensitive LoVs.

  • You can now configure read-only property of global segments and context segment LoV only by using business rules.

  • You can continue to configure the Hide property of global segments and context segment LoV using the Flexfield Preference Settings section on the Redwood Document Type page or Business Rule Page.
