One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Hide View Document Button on Redwood Document Records Page

Several letters generated by document records, such as salary revision letters, promotion letters, and so on contain confidential details and may need executive-level approvals before being shared with employees. For such scenarios, you can now control the display of the View Document button on the Redwood Document Records page by configuring the value for the respective page property.

This ensures sensitive information is only visible once proper approval processes have been followed. Here are some advantages of this enhancement:

  • Prevents exposure of confidential information

  • Ensures compliance with internal approval policies

  • Reduces risk of employee miscommunication or confusion due to unapproved content

By default, the View Document button page property is enabled.

Tips And Considerations

  • This feature is available only on the Redwood Document Records page.

  • If you hide the View Document button, it's hidden for all document records on the Redwood Document Records page. Support for conditional hiding based on document type attributes will be available in a future release.

  • If you want to selectively hide the button based on roles, refer to the example at Control Display Based on User Roles
