Attendance violations can be filtered using these filters:

  • Person search, by name or number
  • Groups, only for time and labor managers
  • Reports, only for line managers with these options:
    • All
    • Direct reports
    • Organization
    • Others and delegated
  • Rule (violation type) with these delivered rules:
    • Tardy
    • Leave Early
    • Unplanned Absence
    • No Show or Absence
  • Date Range
    • Start Date
    • End Date
  • Relative Range, values are the rolling periods enabled from the delivered ORA_HXT_RELATIVE_RANGES lookup. If no period is enabled, the filter doesn't appear on the page.
  • Violation Status, with these options:
    • Allowed, if the number of violations is still less than the number of allowed occurrences set on the attendance rule
    • Not reviewed, if the violation is then not allowed and pending the manager's review
    • Acknowledged, after the manager acknowledged that the violation should remain
    • Dismissed, after the manager dismissed the violation because it's an excused violation
    • Corrected, after an edit on the time card removes the violation
  • Job
  • Location
  • Department

By default, the Attendance Violations page shows the violations with these criteria:

  • Status is Not reviewed
  • Dated Range with start and end dates defaulted to get the previous 2 weeks from the current date

The page includes this info:

  • Person name
  • Rule name such as Tardy, Leave Early, Unplanned Absence or No Show or Absence
  • Date of the violation
  • Number of points related to the violation
  • Total number of points, all points accumulated for the worker over the rule period and as of the date of the violation
  • Status of the violation

Managers can view more details using the View details button. These details include information about the violation, such as the worker name, date of the violation, rule that was violated, number of points granted to the worker. And based on the rule, the details show scheduled and reported start and stop times or the absence type. The details also show the approval flow, such as when the violation was raised, who the approver is, and when the violation was acknowledged or dismissed.

Here's what managers who are violation approvers can do:

  • Acknowledge or dismiss violations at the page level after selecting the relevant violation or violations and optionally entering a reason for the action.
  • Acknowledge or dismiss a violation from the details drawer, after optionally entering a reason for the action.

If the manager acknowledges or dismisses a violation, its status gets updated from Not reviewed to Acknowledged or Dismissed. When a violation is dismissed, the worker doesn't get any points for it, as shown here:
