IMPORTANT: Mandatory Migration to Enhanced Dynamic Skills

Change: Users must migrate from the legacy Dynamic Skills to Enhanced Dynamic Skills before 26B. Starting 26B Oracle will no longer support legacy Dynamic Skills.

Announced: 25C

Support ends: 26A

Details: In 24B, Oracle released Enhanced Dynamic Skills, adding administrator-managed skill catalog value sets and other enhancements. Legacy Dynamic Skills will not be supported after 26A; customers must migrate to Enhanced Dynamic Skills.

Does this impact me? Yes. If any of your skill sections subscribe to Skills Center and you haven’t completed Upgrade to Enhanced Dynamic Skills, those sections will no longer be supported after 26A. If you are using skill sections, that are not subscribed to Skills Center, you are not impacted.  You can continue using these non-Skills Center skill sections, and they will continue to be supported.

Why move to Enhanced Dynamic Skills? Enhanced Dynamic Skills delivers a more robust and flexible solution for managing workforce skills. Unlike the legacy Dynamic Skills, Enhanced Dynamic Skills provides access to the Oracle Dynamic Skills Library and empowers administrators to curate skill catalogs for your organization. It also enables importing skills from trusted third-party providers and streamlines upgrades by referencing skills directly from the item catalog. These improvements lead to more consistent, reliable, and future-ready skill management for your enterprise.

What do I need to do? Review the Pathways to Enhanced Dynamic Skills document to determine how best to migrate to Enhanced Dynamic Skills.
Note: If you use Recruiting, you must enable Redwood before upgrading.

Areas impacted depend on whether you’ve deployed a skill section subscribed to Skills Center to any of the following: Profile Management, Learning, Recruiting, Journeys, Gigs, Opportunity/Talent Marketplace, and Grow.
