Manage Employment Information with AI Assistance

The Employment Information Agent is a conversational assistant that helps managers, HR specialists, and employees quickly access key employment information. It provides fast, natural-language summaries without requiring users to navigate multiple UI pages or manually search for details across different parts of the application.

The agent retrieves a comprehensive set of employment details for a selected employee, including job, grade, position, department, location, seniority, employment contract, and the collective agreement attached to the assignment. It focuses on delivering clear and concise responses that make it easier for users to understand employment-related information.

The agent works in the context of a single employee. Users can view their own information by default or specify another employee whose details they want to review. The agent always fetches information for one employee at a time to ensure accuracy and clarity.

The Employment Information Agent also helps users initiate employment actions. When users want to promote, transfer, or change the work location of an employee, the agent provides a deep link that launches the correct transaction. The transaction automatically opens in the context of the selected employee, removing the need to search for the person again in the UI.

The agent complements the existing Employment Info and Employment Details UI. It provides quick, guided access to employment information and entry points for actions, while the UI remains available for detailed review and navigating complete assignment history.

Key information the agent can provide includes:

  • Job, grade, position, department and other assignment attributes
  • Weekly working hours and Assignment Notes
  • Seniority and employment tenure
  • Employment contract details
  • Collective agreement linked to the employee’s assignment
  • Work Relationship attributes Work Relationship Start Date , Work Relationship Type & Legal Employer
  • Natural-language summaries of current employment status

This makes it easier for managers, HR specialists, and employees to understand key employment information, review details quickly, and initiate employment actions without navigating through multiple pages.

The Employment Information Agent enables managers, HR specialists, and employees to access employment details instantly by transforming multiple assignment attributes into simple, conversational summaries. It improves clarity, reduces manual navigation, and provides immediate access to key employment actions with deep links. Steps to Enable and Configure

  • Your environment must have the appropriate services for Oracle Applications Platform deployed. For more information, see FAQ2521 on My Oracle Cloud Support.
  • Set the Enable Security Console External Application Integration (ORA_ASE_SAS_INTEGRATION_ENABLED) profile option to Yes and enable permission groups for the appropriate roles. See Access Requirements for AI Agent Studio.

Tips And Considerations

  • The agent can search for a specific date; if no date is provided, it automatically retrieves today’s record.

  • For the Employee role, the agent always fetches the current day’s data, even if a different date is supplied.
