Sort Performance Goals

The goals that you see in the goal plan are by default sorted in the order of their display sequence. The display sequence specifies the sequence in which goals are listed in a goal plan. You can use the Edit Sequence action to specify the display sequence.

Your administrators can change the default sort order for the goals. They can also enable these sort options:

  • Weight, Low to High
  • Weight, High to Low
  • Goal Status
  • Target Completion Date, New to Old
  • Target Completion Date, Old to New
  •  Goal Category

NOTE: The Performance Document, Check-in, and Goals Center features are closely connected. So, the Redwood version of these pages can all be enabled or disabled only using the common ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. These features can't be enabled individually.

To change the default sort order, administrators need to configure the Default Sort Option for Performance Goals (ORA_HRG_DEFAULT_GOAL_SORT_OPTION) profile option.

For more information, see How do I enable a profile option?.

To enable additional sort options, administrators need to edit the My Goals page of the Goals Center in Visual Builder Studio and set these page properties to true:

  • Show Weight Sort Options
  • Show Status Sort Options
  • Show Category Sort Options
  • Show Target Completion Date Sort Options

For more information, see How do I control the display of a UI element in Visual Builder Studio?.

Tips And Considerations

  • To hide the sort options that are delivered, administrators need to edit the My Goals page of the Goals Center in Visual Builder Studio and set these page properties to false:
    • Show Last Updated Sort Options
    • Show Name Sort Options
  • If you set goal weights as the default sort option, and if the goal plan isn’t weight enabled, employees will see the goals sorted by their display sequence.
  • When you sort goals by their status, the goals display in this order:
  1. Not Started
  2. In Progress
  3. Completed
  4. Canceled
  • When you try to sort goals by their category, if the category isn’t specified for the goals, then the goals will be sorted alphabetically by their name.
