Organization Calendar Events in Workforce Scheduling

You can now define and assign organization calendar events to workers. When workforce schedules are generated, public holidays are automatically considered so that workers aren’t scheduled on their full or partial holiday days. Schedule managers can still manually assign shifts on public holidays, but they get a warning reminding them about the holiday.

Workers see their assigned organization calendar events in their calendar and can't claim or request shifts on those days.

Align schedules with business events and holidays to improve planning and avoid conflicts.

Steps to Enable

  1. Set the site-level profile value to Y for the ORA_ANC_VBCS_ORG_CAL_EVENT_ENABLED profile option. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Tasks panel > Search > Manage Administrator Profile Values.

Tips And Considerations

Because workers from the same staffing departments can have different public holidays, organization calendar events aren't displayed on workforce schedule headers.
