Generate and Validate Workforce Schedule Enhancements

You can now make automatically-assigned schedules more flexible by using shift deviation allowances set in your scheduling profiles. When you create schedules, the process starts by picking shifts from work patterns or operating shifts. Then it adjusts operating shifts based on the shift deviation rules, which helps you extend or shorten shifts as needed for better coverage.

Also send workers reminders in time to follow scheduling rules before the self-scheduling period ends.

And you can add these new rule options to your schedule generation profiles:

• Set limits for weekend work hours
• Choose how many shifts can come from specific shift categories
• Decide if you want to skip validating work patterns when validating schedules

These enhancements make your scheduling process fairer, simpler, and more effective for everyone.

Steps to Enable

Create or edit schedule generation profiles and set schedule deviation allowances. You also need to configure security. See the Access Requirements section.

Tips And Considerations

By default, workers get alerts 96 hours before their self-scheduling windows close. To change this default, see How can I change when to send self-scheduling alerts?

This privilege gives schedule administrators access to automatic schedule generation and assignment:
