Time-off Assistant - AI Agent

The Time-off Assistant is your AI-powered digital assistant that helps you log absences, mostly vacation or sick leaves, using the AI chat interface instead of navigating to the Add Absence task in the application.

Additionally, this agent also includes the capabilities of Leave and Absence Analyst - AI Agent released in 25C.

Agent capabilities

  • Adds continuous absences for time-based employees only.
  • Logs vacations or sick leaves having absence types with patterns Generic absences or Illness and injury. 
  • Checks for non-working days.
  • Logs partial day absences.
  • Enters absence reason and comments ,if enabled, in the absence type configuration.
  • Checks for minimum or maximum duration.

Examples of Employee Questions the Agent Can Answer:

  • I want to log a sick leave today.
  • I want to log a vacation starting from 5th Jan to 9th Jan. I am attending a wedding. 
  • I want to take a sick leave today between 1pm and 4pm. Reason is I have a cold.
  • Can you help log a single day PTO for tomorrow?

Built on Oracle’s AI Agent framework and powered by large language models (LLMs), the agent understands your natural language queries and responds with accurate, secure information based on your role and privileges. It also provides deep links to guide you directly to the relevant pages in Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud apps.

Steps to Enable and Configure

  • Your environment must have the appropriate services for Oracle Applications Platform deployed. For more information, see FAQ2521 on My Oracle Cloud Support.
  • Set the Enable Security Console External Application Integration (ORA_ASE_SAS_INTEGRATION_ENABLED) profile option to Yes and enable permission groups for the appropriate roles. See Access Requirements for AI Agent Studio.
