Learning Catalog Smart Search Advisor

You can use the AI Learning Catalog Smart Search Advisor agent to search the learning catalog using questions beyond simple search terms and get focused, higher quality results. The results are semantically relevant to your questions and search terms, and take into account who you are--your work history, talent profile information, and learning history. 

When enabled, you see a new section on the learning catalog page after you search. The section returns up to 5 learning items the advisor identified as most appropriate for the you and your request.

Business Benefit: This enhancement leverages AI to provide learners with highly relevant catalog results so they can spend more time learning instead of finding appropriate learning.

Steps to Enable and Configure

  1. Enable Enhanced Dynamic Skills.

  2. Verify whether the profile option ORA_WLF_AI_COMPANY_INFO has a value set at the site level. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Tasks panel > Search > Manage Administrator Profile Values.

    • If there's no site-level value, add an appropriate value and enter a description of the organization. This description will provide context when summarizing entities.

  3. Schedule the new Create Summaries Using Generative AI process to enrich and summarize learning entities using generative AI. 
    1. Go to Tools > Scheduled Processes.
    2. Set these options:
      • Run Type: Full
      • Content Source: Business Object
      • Object Type: Select both Learning Items and Persons.

    3. After the process completes, set the site-level value to Yes for the ORA_WLF_ADVISOR_SEARCH_SUGGESTIONS_ENABLED profile option.
    4. Schedule Create Summaries Using Generative AI on a weekly basis using the Incremental run type option with the same object types noted above.
