Performance Enhancements for HCM Extracts

The delivered HCM Extract reports are enhanced to optimize XML data processing and reduce server loads for reports that use archived data, such as the payslips. The following enhancements are available by default.

• The enhanced reports use individual employee level XML fragments instead of the larger XML files from the BI server, thus reducing memory usage and processing time.
• BI templates are now maintained directly on the ESS server and not on the BI server, thereby ensuring faster processing and improved performance.

Note: The payslips are now configured by default to bypass the BI server. However, the reports may fail if XML fragments are missing or if non-standard bursting nodes are used. Hence, it’s important to ensure correct configurations are used for the delivered extract reports, especially for those with DOR delivery options.

• BI templates are now stored directly in the database, allowing faster access and reducing server load.

Note: The new XML handling and BI server bypass features may cause regressions if the reports aren’t configured correctly.
