Redwood Involuntary Deductions Component

We have made it easier for you to manage your employee involuntary deductions through the new Involuntary Deductions page component. Accessible from the Earnings and Deductions page, it displays all deduction info, including:

  • Values
  • Additional Calculation Info
  • Override Calculation Info
  • Override Fee Info
  • Reference Info
  • Child Info (shown only for Child Support, Spousal Support and Alimony)
  • Contact Info

It includes tabs for element attributes, costing details, and processing history for selected involuntary deductions.

This update makes involuntary deduction information easier for review by grouping related overrides and fields together in a consistent order.

Steps to enable and configure

You must enable this US page component. Otherwise, a Core Payroll page component displays when you start the Earnings and Deductions task and select an involuntary deduction.

  1. Start the Manage Administrator Profile Values task from Setup and Maintenance.
  2. In Manage Administrator Profile Values, search for and select the ORA_HRX_US_INVOLUNTARY_DEDUCTIONS_VBCS_ENABLED profile option.
  3. In Profile Values, select Yes for the site level.
  4. Click Save and Close.

Tips and considerations

Select All Values to see all fields available for entry.

Value definition names remain unchanged internally so external integrations aren't impacted.   

Field names that start with a state name indicate the field is only available for that state.
