Validate and Calculate on Save for Edited Redwood Individual Compensation Proposals
Validations and calculations configured in the element setup page that previously ran only when you submitted or saved new individual compensation proposals are now also run when you edit them and save changes in the drawer opened from the individual compensation page. This capability was previously available on Responsive and Classic pages, and was introduced for new proposals on Redwood pages starting in 26A.
These enhancements accelerate your validation and default rule adoption. It helps identify invalid values and refresh calculated amounts while editing individual compensation proposals. Early feedback helps managers and HR specialists correct issues before submitting their changes and provides consistent validation behavior for new and edited proposals.
Steps to enable and configure
- In Setup and Maintenance, open the Tasks panel and search for Manage Administrator Profile Values.
- Search for the ORA_CMP_VALIDATE_CALCULATE_ICP_ON_SAVE profile option.
- Set the site-level profile value to Yes.

- Validations: Validation messages appears in the compensation drawer.
- Whenever the date changes, the element entry fragments reload to their default values. This behavior applies to both new and edit proposals.
-
The following scenarios are now supported:
