Translation for Actions, Action Reasons, and Assignment Statuses with Generative AI

Use the Translation Editor AI capability from the Redwood pages for Actions, Action Reasons, and Assignment Statuses to help maintain translated values for these employment setup objects.

With this enhancement, administrators working with Actions, Action Reasons, and Assignment Statuses can access the Translation Editor AI experience from the corresponding Redwood pages. This provides a more modern way to maintain translations while working in the new Redwood-based user experience. 

You can use this capability when:

• Maintaining an Action used globally. If your organization has an action such as Transfer or Change Assignment, use the translation experience to maintain the translated text required for users working in other supported languages.
• Translating Action Reasons. For action reasons such as Career Progression, Reorganization, or Location Change, use Translation Editor AI while maintaining the Action Reason on its Redwood page.
• Maintaining localized Assignment Statuses. When an assignment status is presented to users in multiple languages, use the translation capability from the Assignment Statuses Redwood page to help maintain the corresponding translated values.
• Updating translations as setup terminology changes. When your organization changes the wording of an Action, Action Reason, or Assignment Status, administrators can manage the related translations as part of maintaining that setup in the Redwood experience.

The enhancement is part of the move to the latest supported Oracle user-interface technology and extends the Translation Editor AI experience to these Employment setup pages. After enabling the Redwood experience, use the translation capability from the applicable page to maintain translated values. No data migration or additional upgrade processing is required.

This enhancement provides the following benefits:

• Simplifies translation maintenance by making Translation Editor AI available directly in the Redwood experience used to maintain Actions, Action Reasons, and Assignment Statuses.
• Provides a more modern administration experience by moving these setup activities to Oracle's Redwood/VB-based user interface.
• Improves administrator productivity by reducing navigation and providing a more streamlined interaction with the setup pages.
• Supports global implementations by making it easier to maintain translated employment setup terminology used by a multilingual workforce.
• Provides a consistent translation experience across supported Redwood setup pages.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

• No data migration is required when adopting the new experience.
• Existing in-flight transactions aren't expected to be affected by enabling the feature.
• No data-model changes are expected as part of the underlying Move-to-VBCS work, so no impact is expected for existing OTBI or DBI reporting.
• The feature is intended for all customers and isn't country- or legislation-specific.
