Control Automatic Candidate Resume Attachment to Job Offers

Redwood Platform

Recruiting administrators can control whether a candidate's resume is automatically included as an internal document when a job offer is created. When enabled, recruiters can remove the resume before saving or submitting the offer.

Administrators can use this feature to:

  • Prevent automatic resume attachment when the setting is deselected while allowing recruiters to add a resume manually.
  • Choose whether candidate resumes are included by default with  job offers.
  • Automatically add a candidate's resume to Internal Comments and Attachments section when a resume exists and the setting is selected.
  • Let recruiters remove an automatically attached resume before saving or submitting an offer.

Try it out

  1. Create a job offer for a candidate with a resume on file.
  2. Review Internal Comments and Attachments, then remove or manually add the resume as needed before saving or submitting the offer.

Business benefit: Streamline offer creation by automatically including candidate resumes when needed, while giving administrators control over the default behavior and recruiters flexibility to add or remove resumes as appropriate.

Steps to enable and configure

  1. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Recruiting and Candidate Experience > Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management > Enterprise Recruiting and Candidate Experience Information.
  2. Expand the Offer section.
  3. Select or deselect the Attach candidate resume setting then save the changes.

The Attach candidate resume setting is selected by default to preserve existing behavior. When selected, a candidate’s resume is added to the Internal Comments and Attachments section when a job offer is created, if a resume exists. When deselected, the resume isn’t added automatically; recruiters can still add it manually if needed.
