Redwood: Time-Based Autosave for Providing Requested Feedback
When completing a requested feedback questionnaire for general or performance goal-related feedback, feedback providers can have their entered comments automatically saved at the configured interval. A last-saved timestamp appears under the Submit button and updates after each autosave.
If a provider leaves the page by using global header icons, experiences a system timeout, or returns after a crash, the last autosaved or manually saved feedback is available when the feedback request is reopened.
Time-based autosave helps protect feedback already entered in a questionnaire, reducing the risk of losing comments when a session ends unexpectedly or a provider leaves the page without saving.
Steps to enable and configure
1. Access page properties through Visual Builder Studio, then configure the Control Time-Based Autosave Counter on the Provide Requested Feedback Page property under Common Properties.
2. Set the property to a value from 1 through 20 to specify the maximum number of autosaves. The default value of 0 does not initiate autosave.
3. Set the Performance Autosave Interval (HRA_PERF_AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL) profile option to the interval, in minutes, used to initiate autosave.
Tips and considerations
• Autosave is performed only up to the maximum number of times configured in the page property.
• The last-saved timestamp uses the date format defined in the feedback provider’s preferences.
• The Performance Autosave Interval (HRA_PERF_AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL) profile option controls the autosave period for both requested feedback and performance documents. Changes to this setting apply to both areas.
