Configure Performance Documents with Additional VB Studio Page Properties and Contexts

HR specialists can use Visual Builder Studio page properties on the Performance Document page to hide the Show More Info link when an Overall Summary evaluation topic isn't configured. Apply the page property by performance template, review period, document type, process-flow task, or performance role.

HR specialists can also make individual evaluation topics read-only, including Performance Goal, Development Goal, Competency, Dynamic Skill, Questionnaire, and Overall Summary topics. When a topic is read-only, users can view its details but can't update ratings, comments, question responses, or the section's Save actions.

Employee Location is available as a contextual parameter for Performance Document page properties and business rules. This enables organizations to target page content, such as a guided journey, to managers of employees in a specified location.

Help organizations apply more precise performance-document policies by worker location and document context. This supports consistent user experiences while reducing unnecessary information and unintended edits.

Steps to enable and configure

  • Open the Performance Document page and access Visual Builder Studio Express Mode.
  • Under Evaluation Topics, configure the page property to hide the Show More Info link when no Overall Summary is configured, if needed.
  • Configure the relevant read-only page properties for Performance Goal, Development Goal, Competency, Dynamic Skill, Questionnaire, or Overall Summary evaluation topics. Set a property to True to make the topic read-only.
  • Use Employee Location and the supported Performance Document contextual parameters to apply page properties and business rules to the appropriate workers and documents.

Tips and considerations

  • The Hide Show More Info and evaluation topic read-only page properties default to False.
  • The Make Performance Document Page Read-Only property overrides the individual evaluation topic read-only properties.
  • The individual evaluation-topic read-only properties don't affect page-level actions, additional details, or attachments. Use the existing page properties to control those areas.
