Support Goal Level Approvals in the Employee Goals Assistant Agent
If goal level approvals are enabled, workers can now use the Employee Goals Assistant AI agent to create or update a performance goal and submit it for approval without locking the entire goal plan. The AI agent asks whether to submit the goal plan for approval and confirms the submission. If approvals aren't enabled, the agent doesn't ask for approval submission.
This enhancement helps workers continue goal planning work using the agent while an individual performance goal is pending approval, reducing interruption and keeps the goal plan process moving.
Steps to enable and configure
- Enable the Goal Level Approval Enabled (ORA_HRG_PERF_GOAL_LVL_APPROVL) profile option. For more information, see How do I enable a profile option?.
- Your environment must have the appropriate services for Oracle Applications Platform deployed. For more information, see FAQ2521 on My Oracle Cloud Support.
- Set the Enable Security Console External Application Integration (ORA_ASE_SAS_INTEGRATION_ENABLED) profile option to Yes and enable permission groups for the appropriate roles. See Access Requirements for AI Agent Studio.

Access requirements
The agents you can view depend on the roles and privileges assigned to you. To access AI agents, your role must be explicitly granted access to it by an AI Studio Administrator. For more information, see How can I give users access to AI agents and Access Requirements for AI Agent Studio.
