Update Goal Weights in Goals Assistants AI Agents
Managers and employees can now update performance goal weights while creating or updating goals through the Team Goals Assistant and Employee Goals Assistant AI agents.
When goal weights are enabled in the goal plan, the AI agents display and process weight values for performance goals.
This enhancement helps managers and employees update performance goal weights directly from the goals assistants, reducing the need to navigate to the goal details page for weight changes.
Steps to enable and configure
- Enable goal weights in the goal plan.
- To allow decimal values for goal weights, enable the Decimals in Goal Weights Allowed (HRG_ALLOW_DECIMALS_IN_WEIGHTS) profile option. For more information, see How do I enable a profile option?.
- Configure approval rules if goal weight changes should require approval. For more information, see Overview of Performance Goal Approval Rules.
- Your environment must have the appropriate services for Oracle Applications Platform deployed. For more information, see FAQ2521 on My Oracle Cloud Support.
- Set the Enable Security Console External Application Integration (ORA_ASE_SAS_INTEGRATION_ENABLED) profile option to Yes and enable permission groups for the appropriate roles. See Access Requirements for AI Agent Studio.

Tips and considerations
- If maximum weight enforcement is enabled in the goal plan, the AI agent validates that total goal weights don't exceed 100 percent. If the total exceeds 100 percent, the transaction is blocked and the AI agent displays a validation message.
- If decimal weights aren't enabled and a user enters a decimal value, the AI agent rounds the value to the nearest whole number using standard rounding rules and confirms the rounded weight with the user.
- Minimum weight validation isn't supported.
