Include Break Details in Schedule Imports and Worker Notifications

Workforce Scheduling supports break details in schedule import workflows.

Administrators and integration users can:

  • Include break details when importing schedule shifts through REST services or HCM Data Loader.
  • Use break start time, end time, type, and subtype in fast formulas.

Workers can also see total paid break and total unpaid break duration in selected shift request notifications and alerts when the information helps them understand or decide on a shift.

Try it out

  • Import workforce schedule shifts with break details using the Schedule Requests REST service or HCM Data Loader.
  • Review selected worker shift notifications and alerts to see total paid break and total unpaid break duration.

This enhancement improves consistency between imported schedule data, formula logic, and worker-facing shift communications. It helps organizations use more complete break information across schedule integrations and downstream workforce processes.

Steps to enable and configure

Use the updated Schedule Requests REST service or HCM Data Loader schedule import to include break details on schedule shifts.
