Enhancements to Alternate Designator Usage During Trade Agreement Qualification

This feature provides for improved matching logic for the alternate designator field on trade item structure. When GTM retrieves the intermediate component, it matches the intermediate trade item structure to the finished good trade item structure based on the Alternate Designator field. The qualification logic has been updated as follows:

  • If the intermediate trade item structure and the finished good trade item structure have matching alternate designators, GTM uses that intermediate trade item structure during qualification.
  • If the intermediate trade item structure and the finished good trade item structure do not have matching alternate designators, GTM uses the trade item structure where the alternate designator is null (new functionality).
