In Wave Templates - Allocation mode sequence, Full LPN allocation has been expanded to provide more flexibility, with a new drop-down which replaces the ‘Include Multi SKU LPN’ flag.

The Full LPN Inventory Handling, drop-down will allow LPNs with uniform inventory composition to be considered for allocation simultaneously with LPNs of non-uniform inventory composition following the allocation methods you've configured.

The Full LPN Inventory Handling drop-down includes the following options:

  • Single Inventory LPNs only.
  • Single Inventory then Multi-Inventory LPNs.
  • Single Inventory along with Multi-Inventory LPNs

Full LPN Inventory Handling

Full LPN Inventory Handling

The 'Include Multi-SKU LPNs' checkbox has been replaced with a 'Full LPN Inventory Handling' dropdown selection with three options.

SINGLE INVENTORY LPNs ONLY:

Full LPNs will be for allocation only if they are Single-SKU LPNs having uniform inventory composition. (that is, all inventory of the LPN has the same item, batch, expiry, attributes, etc.)

This option retains the same behavior as the previous 'Include Multi-SKU LPNs' being deselected.

SINGLE INVENTORY THEN MULTI-INVENTORY LPNs:

Full LPNs having uniform inventory composition will be considered for allocation followed by full LPNSs having non-uniform inventory composition.

These uniform/non-uniform inventory categories will be considered in separate steps, and any allocation methods will be applied to each category of full LPNs, that is, FIFO allocation method will first be applied for LPNs having uniform inventory, then will be applied for LPNs having non-uniform inventory composition.

This option retains the same behavior as the previous 'Include Multi-SKU LPNs' being selected.

SINGLE INVENTORY ALONG WITH MULTI-INVENTORY LPNs:

Full LPNs having uniform inventory composition and full LPNs having non-uniform inventory composition will be considered for allocation at the same time.  Any allocation method will be applied to all full LPNs, regardless of inventory composition.

NOTE: This field will be applicable (and active) only for FULL LPN allocation mode. If left blank, it defaults to "Single Inventory LPNs only."

Compatibility with Allocation Methods:

This new field can be configured with the following allocation methods:

  • FEFO (First Expired, First Out)
  • FIFO (First In, First Out)
  • LEFO (Last Expired, First Out)
  • LIFO (Last In, First Out)
  • Quantity Ascending
  • Quantity Descending

NOTE:

  1. For Full LPN allocation with the allocation method as Qty ascending/Qty descending, the considered Qty of Multi SKU LPN will be the total of all inventory present in the LPN. That is, LPN1 has SKU1/Qty:10 and SKU2/Qty:10, Qty considered for LPN will be 20.
  2. For FEFO/FIFO, if there is a tie between two LPNs/inventory, the first tie breaker is the Location Pick Sequence and then the first Create Timestamp of the LPN/inventory.
  3. For LEFO/LIFO, if there is a tie between two LPNs/inventory, the first tie breaker is the Location Pick Sequence and then the latest/last Create Timestamp of the LPN/inventory
