Consistent Table Column Header Display on Resize
This feature provides you with consistent behavior for your Table Column Headers when your columns are resized. Previously, when table columns were resized, your Column Headers would be parsed and stacked in an arbitrary fashion. This feature provides consistent behavior for how the Table Column Headers are shown as your columns decrease and increase in column width.
New Behavior
In the set of screen shots below the Destination Location ID field will be used to demonstrate the new behavior. As the column size is reduced, the characters displayed for the Column Header displayed will be truncated from right to left and the Column Hader will continue to only take up a single row of space - as shown below.
Column Header
In the screen shot below, the column has been resized and part of the Column Header is now truncated from the right.
Column Header Truncated As Column Size is Reduced
One final resizing and Column Header behavior display example.
Column Header Truncated As Column Size is Reduced
Note that you always have the option to hover over the column to see the full Column Header, as shown below - where the column resizing has reduced the Column Header to less than a full character size.

Previous Behavior
By comparison - the previous behavior is shown for the same field below. With the previous behavior, as the column is resized the Column Header is parsed and stacked into up to three rows, which reduces the space available while not providing a more meaningful Column Header.
Previous Behavior - Initial Column Header - Same as above
Previous Behavior - Column Header Parsed and Stacked as Column Resized
Continuing to reduce the column size, the Column Header wraps and stacks into three levels as shown below.
Previous Behavior - Column Header Parsed and Stacked as Column Resized
This usability feature provides a consistent approach for displaying the Column Header while also reducing the space required for displaying the Column Header when columns are resized.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
Note that this feature represents a change in previous behavior and is based on a change in the underlying infrastructure used to provide this functionality, with this change the previous parsing, stacking of Column Headers is no longer supported and cannot be provided as an option. The new behavior is the only behavior that is supported.
