Pull Spot Shipment into Shipment History

This feature will allow user to include spot shipments (shipments created without a rate record) while creating shipment set, and then request bid from carriers against those lanes.

User can now request bids for lanes where they previously did not have contracted rates, and reduce the overall transportation cost (spot shipments usually cost higher than contracted rates).

Steps to Enable

Introducing "Spot Shipment" check box in Shipment History. This field determines if the shipment set contains spot shipments or normal shipments. Select the check box to create shipment set with spot shipments so that User can create lane summary including spot shipments.

Shipment set criteria

Once Lane Summary is created with any Spot Shipment , It is mandatory to run "Fill Missing Lanes" action on lane summary to create the Lanes for spot Shipments associated with the Shipment Set added in the Lane Summary. "Fill Missing Lanes" action pick the lanes from OTM using "Desired Geo Hierarchy Profile", or create new lanes from Source and Destination Geo Hierarchies of first rank in Desired Geo Hierarchy Profile added in Shipment Set.

A shipment set can have only shipments with rates or spot shipments, not both. User can include multiple shipments sets (with or without rates) in the Lane summary criteria.
