One of your ideas has been delivered from your suggestion.Exclude Service Providers Who Decline Ordinary Tender in Subsequent Spot Bid Tender

This feature allows you to configure the system to exclude those service providers, who have declined (or did not respond in time) to your ordinary tender from being included in the subsequent spot bid tenders for the shipment they declined previously.

The new functionality is enabled using the property“glog.webserver.tender.spotBid.excludeCarriersRejectedTender”. When this property is set to true, service providers who have rejected an ordinary tender will not be able to participate in any spot bid tender related to the rejected shipment.

In the example below, the property “glog.webserver.tender.spotBid.excludeCarriersRejectedTender” is set to true, Carrier03 receives an ordinary tender offer for the shipment - 26221 and opts to decline/reject the tender offer. When shipment 26221, which was rejected by Carrier03 during ordinary tender, is sent out for a spot bid tender, Carrier03 will not be included in the list of service providers participating.

With Carrier03's decline of the ordinary tender, and with the property, glog.webserver.tender.spotBid.excludeCarriersRejectedTender, set to true, Carrier03 will not be included in the list of service providers participating in the spot bid tender that will be sent out for the same shipment, as shown below.

When the property, glog.webserver.tender.spotBid.excludeCarriersRejectedTender, is set to false (the default value), Carrier03 is included in the list of lane service providers, even though Carrier03 previously declined the ordinary tender for the same shipment.

This feature allows you to avoid offering spot bid opportunities to your service providers who have declined an ordinary tender for the same shipment based on the service provider's current contract rate.

Steps to Enable

This feature is enabled through the property, glog.webserver.tender.spotBid.excludeCarriersRejectedTender, when set to true, the service providers who have declined an ordinary tender, will not be able to participate in any spot bid tender for the declined ordinary tender shipment. The property is set to false by default.

Tips And Considerations

The configuration works for both your initial spot bid tender and when running the Update Open Tender action.

This feature will not be honored in scenarios where multiple shipments are selected for spot bid tendering; in this case even service providers who declined ordinary tenders will be included.
