Enable Inter Facility/Company Copy Configuration

The existing Configuration action button provides Export and Import configuration options. These require you to manually download a configuration file from the source facility/company, then log in to the target facility/company, and then import the downloaded file. This manual process is time-consuming and can introduce errors.

To streamline this, we are providing a new option under the Configuration action button to copy configurations directly to eligible facility/company.

Now, you can copy configurations directly from the source to the target in a single step without manually downloading and uploading files.

NOTE:

• Currently, the copy configuration option is available only in the legacy WMS UI.
• This functionality applies only to your eligible facility/company and is accessible only from UI screens that support the Configuration action button.

KEY CHANGES

To support copy configurations, the following enhancements are made:

• A new option, “Copy Configuration to Eligible Facility/Company” is added to the Configuration action button.
• The group permission “ConfigImportExport / Import/Export Configuration” is renamed to “ConfigImportExportCopy / Import/Export/Copy Configuration”. This group permission enables the Configuration action button, which provides access to the export, import, and copy configuration options.

NOTE: If your existing user group includes the group permission “ConfigImportExport / Import/Export Configuration”, the system enables the group permission “ConfigImportExportCopy / Import/Export/Copy Configuration” by default.

COPY CONFIGURATION TO ELIGIBLE FACILITY/COMPANY BEHAVIOR

You can copy selected or all records on the relevant screens that support the Configuration action button.

Once you click “Copy Configuration to Eligible Facility/Company” under the Configuration action button, select the target eligible company and facility combination. After selection, click OK to copy configurations.

On success, the system creates new records or updates matching records in the target facility/company.

Steps to enable and configure

In each UI configuration screens, click the Configuration action button located on the upper-right corner. You can then access the “Copy Configuration to Eligible Facility/Company” drop-down option.

NOTE: To use the Configuration action button in the relevant screens, you must add the group permission “ConfigImportExportCopy / Import/Export/Copy Configuration”. By default, admin users are enabled with this group permission.
