Conversational marketing with WhatsApp

Available in Controlled Availability, Responsys is releasing the first version of a conversational messaging solution for WhatsApp.

The WhatsApp messaging would be offered through a CX app built by a Meta Business Solution Provider(s). Marketers can design Responsys programs to target a segment with all WhatsApp message types. They can design a dialog flow around all the expected subscribers responses.

Other enhancements which utilize full potential of the channels conversational capability:

  • Entire design time experience would reside within Responsys. 
  • WhatsApp specific events will be captured for targeting and reporting
  • List management of WhatsApp enabled subscribers
  • Interactive dashboard for the usual performance metrics plus insight into subscriber engagement across all sessions
  • Centralized billing into full service SKU

Steps to Enable

This is a controlled availability feature. Please contact your Oracle Account Manager if you are interested in this feature. Once approved, onboarding activities will be required prior to being able to use. More information will be provided by Oracle and Partner directly.

Tips And Considerations

  • In this version, only Marketer initiated conversations are supported (no user initiated conversations). Marketer would define response options for messages as CTAs to build conversations. Free flow text/NLP capabilities are planned for the future.
