Support for Custom Properties in Prebuilt Campaign Engagement Events Pipeline to Unity

Responsys now includes Custom Properties columns in Event feed exports as part of the prebuilt Campaign Engagement Events Pipeline to Unity. For each Email or SMS Event that logs custom properties, a CUSTOM_PROPERTIES column and the corresponding value are included in the events export to Unity.

Column Name: CUSTOM_PROPERTIES

Custom Properties format

  • Custom properties are logged as an XML payload in the CUSTOM_PROPERTIES column in the format shown in the sample payload below
  • This sample XML payload has two Custom Properties
    • Property 1 is named “CampaignName” and has value “2026 Summer Sale”
    • Property 2 is named “ProductCategory” and has value “Sports”

Sample CUSTOM_PROPERTIES Payload

<props><prop name="CampaignName" value="2026 Summer Sale"/><prop name="ProductCategory" value="Sports"/></props>

Steps to Enable and Configure

Prebuilt Campaign Engagement Events Pipeline to Unity is a Controlled Availability (CA) Feature. When the feature is Enabled for an Account, the Custom Properties Column and data are available as part of the Events Pipeline. If you do not already have access to the CA feature, you will need to open an SR with Oracle Support.
