Introduction of Email Carbon Copy (CC)
Oracle Responsys has introduced the arrival of email carbon copy (CC) functionality. For those with blind carbon copy (BCC) already enabled, email carbon copy (CC) is now an available option to send a copy of the given message to the designated recipient(s) as well.
- Marketers may select an email’s target CC recipient via the Email Message Designer (EMD) header configuration. The CC attribute is a dropdown list of pre-approved target CC email address(es) configured by an Account Administrator.
- Users with the Account Administrator role may edit the approved listing of CC email addresses. These approved email addresses are shown to users in the Email Message Designer Header configuration.

- More flexibility and control over the recipients for your messages.
Steps to enable and configure
To enable this feature you need to log a Service Request (SR).
Email Carbon Copy (CC) is a Controlled Feature available to accounts that have BCC currently enabled. Please submit a My Oracle Support SR to request CC’s enablement.
Tips and considerations
- The functionality is the same a BCC except the original recipient can see the message was also sent to the designated CC recipients.
- As with BC functionality, CC does not consume Interactions.
- The CC message is an exact copy of the message personalized and sent to the original “To” recipient; any message tracking is attributed to the original recipient, and not to the CC recipient.
- As with BCC, a bounce against the CC recipient will NOT impact the original “To” recipient’s EMAIL_DELIVERABILITY_STATUS_
