Support Help Icon for Line Item Grid Attributes

Oracle CPQ 24B provides support to enable help icons for Line Item Grid attributes. When enabled, a help icon is displayed to the left side column header for the applicable attribute.  When a user hovers over the help icon the attribute description is displayed. The option is disabled by default.

The help icons provide sales users with intuitive and logical explanation for the attributes in the Line Item Grid.

Steps to Enable

Enable Help Icons for Line Item Grid Attributes

Complete the following steps to display a help icon for a Line Item Grid attribute.

  1. Navigate to the Admin page.
  2. Click Admin to go to the Admin Home Page.
  3. Click Process Definition in the Commerce and Documents section.
  4. For the applicable process, select Documents in the Navigation column, and then click List.
  5. Select JET Responsive Layout the Navigation column for the main document (e.g. Transaction).
  6. Click List.
  7. Click on the applicable attribute within the Line Item Grid.
    • You can edit the attribute settings in the layout section or click on Settings in the side panel.
  8. Check the Show help icon option for the attribute within the Line Item Grid or the Settings side panel.
  9. Click Save to retain the layout changes.

Note:  Commerce layout updates are not visible until the Commerce process is deployed (or redeployed).
