Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- Existing evergreen subscriptions and subscriptions with pricing term cannot be enabled for prospective accounting.
- Run the ESS in batches and verify if the selected subscriptions have been migrated to enable them for prospective accounting.
- Existing subscription products in Draft/Pending Approval/Canceled/Under Amendment/Closed (including active lines closed with a future date) status will not be enabled for prospective accounting. In order to enable Draft status products for prospective accounting, regenerate the billing schedule. For subscription products in Pending Approval status, either withdraw approval and regenerate bill schedule or wait for the approval process to complete and then run the ESS. For Under Amendment products, wait for the amendment process to complete and then run the ESS after the subscription is Active.
- If there is a discrepancy between the billing and revenue for any charge, the corresponding products will not be migrated. The following are checked:
- Bill line total amount has to match with the last revised amount for the revenue line.
- For recurring charges, earliest bill from date and latest bill to date have to match the rule start and rule end date of the corresponding revenue line.
