Maintain Credit and Rollup Rule Assignments using AI Agent
Use an AI agent for incentive analysts and managers to conversationally maintain credit and rollup rule assignments. Using this agent, update assignments for a single rule or multiple rules for a participant. Add a participant to a rule.
To use this agent, create an agent using the Incentive Rule Maintenance Assistant Template from Agent Studio and then invoke this agent from any redwood page of your choice. Once the agent is invoked, use it to maintain rule assignments. While using this agent,
- Refer to a participant by name, email address or participant id.
- Refer to a rule by name, rule number or rule id.
- Specify whether the rule is a Credit rule or Rollup rule.
Examples of instructions to the agent:
- Update end date of Lisa Jones on all credit rules to 31-Mar-2026. :This will only end date Lisa's assignments to those rules that she is assigned to beyond 31-Mar-2026.
- Add Lisa Jones to credit rule FY26 West Coast Rule : This will assign Lisa Jones to the credit rule FY26 West Coast Rule.
- Update end date of Lisa Jones on credit rule FY26 East Coast Rule to 30-Jun-2026. : This will end date Lisa's assignment to credit rule FY26 East Coast Rule to 30-Jun-2026.
With this agent, save time and effort by maintaining credit rules efficiently without having to navigate to the rules UI and clicking multiple times to do rule assignment updates and additions.
Steps to enable and configure
Enabling and Publishing the Agent
- Navigate to AI Agent Studio & Search for agents within the product Incentive Compensation.
- Copy the Incentive Rule Maintenance Assistant Template.
- Give the agent a Suffix
- Once the Agent Editor opens click "Publish"
Exposing the agent in the UI
- Create a Sandbox by navigating to Configuration - Sandboxes and ensure that it is publishable and it includes Application Composer as a tool.
- Enter the newly created Sandbox
- Open the Application Composer Tool by navigating to Tools - Application Composer
- Access "Smart Actions" within application composer
- Click "Create" to create a new smart action.
- Select "Global Action".
- Provide a name for the smart action. Example: Maintain Rule Assignments
- Select "Sales" as the application
- Under parent object select any page depending on where you would like to make the agent visible to the analyst.
- Select Action Type as "Agent Team" and Agent Team Code as the Agent Team you published in the step above.
- Leave the Confirmation message After Action Execution blank and click Continue.
- Click "Submit"
- Publish the Sandbox
- The Agent will now be ready for use in the selected pages.
