Manage Spoke Systems Using the Redwood User Experience

Use the new Redwood user experience to search, manage, or view your spoke system details. The search is powered by Oracle Cloud Search and returns quick results.

You can setup the import options for a spoke system (as shown in the following screenshot) that could be used for importing items through an item batch.

You can setup the publication options for a spoke system (as shown in the following screenshot) that could be used for publishing items through a publication batch.

This feature benefits your business by allowing you to:

  • Vastly improve productivity with faster, more efficient searches.
  • Configure searches to specify the attributes based on which the search should be run, and thereby optimize the search results.
  • Configure the column order of the search results to focus on data for better user experience.
  • Provide the necessary import options that can be defaulted for item import using item batch.
  • Easily setup the required publication options that could be used for item publication.

Steps to Enable

Follow these steps to enable or disable this feature:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.

  2. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the ORA_EGI_SPOKE_SYSTEM_REDWOOD_PAGES_ENABLED profile option code.

  3. In the Profile Values section, set the Site level to Y or N. The default value is N.

  • Y = enables the feature
  • N = disables the feature

  1. Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.

Tips And Considerations

  • Setting up the import options for a spoke system allows to quickly default the parameters for the item batches when importing items.
  • Setting up the publication options for a spoke system will be used to identify entities for the publication.
  • Spoke system entity data can be published immediately or can be scheduled.
  • You can selectively publish entity specific data for each spoke system.
