Redwood: Create and Edit Accrual Cutoff Rules Using a New User Experience
You can now create, update, and delete accrual cutoff rules using the Redwood user experience.
On the Accrual Cutoff Rules page, you can define the number of offset days for a business unit in Receipt Accounting. Offset days define the grace period for processing backdated transactions in the prior general ledger (GL) period. Receipt Accounting uses the offset days to calculate the accrual cutoff date. If you don't define the offset days, then the backdated receipts are processed in the prior GL period until the period is closed. You can manage the accrual cutoff rules only for the business units you've access to.
Following are the key capabilities:
- Search Accrual Cutoff Rules
- Create Accrual Cutoff Rule: You can create a new accrual cutoff rule for a business unit which doesn't have existing rule setup.
- Update Accrual Cutoff Rules: You can also modify or delete an already existing accrual cutoff rule.
Steps to Enable
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
- On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the ORA_CMR_CUTOFF_RULES_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option code.
- In the Profile Values section, set the Site level to Yes. The default value is No.
- Yes = enables the feature
- No = disables the feature
- Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will take effect the next time you sign in.

- The accrual cutoff rules are applicable only for accrue at receipt purchase orders.

- Define Accrual Clearing (CMR_DEFINE_ACCRUAL_CLEARING_PRIV)
