Create Serial Number Shipment Reservations

The enhanced Depot Repair UI now lets you create serial number inventory reservations to ensure the right repaired product or part is shipped to the right customer.  When you create serial number reservations, the serial number is printed on the pick list, so the warehouse knows which specific product or part to ship.

A new Manage Reservations action has been added to the Logistics region for shipment lines where the quantity ordered is greater than the quantity shipped. This action opens a new Manage Reservations UI, as shown in the following screenshots.

The Manage Reservation UI allows to view and create serial number reservations against the shipment sales order line.  The serial number LOV displays unreserved serial numbers located in the source organization or sub-inventory.  Select a serial number and then click the check mark to create a reservation.

You can see the reservations listed in the Serial Number column of the Manage Reservations UI.

Reserving serial numbers improves shipping accuracy and reduces manual effort by ensuring the warehouse ships the right product or part to the right customer.

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• Access Depot Repair Search (RCL_DEPOT_REPAIR_SEARCH_PRIV)
• Access Depot Repair for Depot Repair Manager (RCL_DEPOT_DETAILS_PRIV)
