Redwood: Report Resource Transactions for a Work Order Operation Using a New User Experience

Labor and equipment time tracking is a common practice for controlling production costs and compensating workers. Now you can charge and reverse resource usage for a work order operation using a Redwood page. You can also leverage built-in barcode scanning to quickly identify the work order and operation using a label or printed work order traveler. This feature provides you with the following capabilities:

  • Scan or enter the work order number and operation to get started 
  • Report manually charged or reverse charged resources for the work order operation
  • Add or delete resources for a work order operation
  • Report ad hoc resources for a work order operation

You can enable guided journeys to help user perform this task by providing videos, images, and best practices.

Steps to Enable

Follow these steps to enable or disable this feature:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  1. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the ORA_WIE_RESOURCE_TRANSACTIONS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option code.
  1. In the Profile Values section, set the Site level to Y or N. The default value of the profile option is N.
    • Y = enables the feature
    • N = disables the feature
  1. Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.

You'll have the option to enable or disable this feature from 25A update.

  • Manufacturing Privileges :
    • Report Resource Transactions (WIP_REPORT_RESOURCE_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV)

  • Guided Journeys : Role Codes
    • Use REST Service - Guided Journeys Read Only (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_RO)
    • Use REST Service - Guided Journey Responses (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEY_RESPONSES)
