Redwood: Report Material Transactions for a Work Order Operation with Additional Capabilities

You can perform the following while issuing and returning material transactions for a work order operation using the Redwood user experience:

  • Capture additional information in item, lot and serial descriptive flexfields
  • Scan serials while returning materials
  • Validate and use lot and serials based on item revisions, and
  • Control additional material issues

Manufacturers can maintain additional information related to components and ensure that the right components are used in the right quantities at a work order operation.

Steps to Enable

To use the additional capabilities, you need to enable the Report Material Transactions for a Work Order Operation Using a Redwood User Experience feature.

Follow these steps to enable or disable this feature:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for and select the Manage Administrator Profile Values task.
  1. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page, search for and select the ORA_WIE_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option code.
  1. In the Profile Values section, set the Site level to Y or N. The default value of the profile option is N.
  • Y = enables the feature
  • N = disables the feature
  1. Click Save and Close. Changes in the profile value will affect users the next time they sign in.

You'll have the option to enable or disable this feature from 24D update.

  • Use REST Service - Guided Journeys Read Only (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEYS_RO)
  • Use REST Service - Guided Journey Responses (Role Code ORA_PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_GUIDED_JOURNEY_RESPONSES)
