Add Requirements with Generative AI

Soliciting information in supplier negotiations can involve significant effort, beginning with research and analysis to determine the right set of requirements to capture from suppliers.

Generative AI can dramatically shorten the time needed to author requirements that are pertinent to the negotiation. With AI embedded in the negotiation flow, it can suggest requirements on topics such as supplier information, technical expertise, financial and commercial viability, or various risk factors.

When you create a negotiation, in the Requirements section, click AI Assist. AI uses key information like negotiation type, title, line categories, and requirement section name to generate a set of relevant requirements.

If you have added sections and requirements already from the negotiation template or predefined qualification areas, you can select any of these sections to generate additional requirements. You can also add a new section and have AI generate new requirements to include.

Additionally, you have the flexibility to make edits to the requirements before adding them.

AI Assist helps to generate relevant requirements for a negotiation, hence reducing the time and effort involved in manually researching and writing requirements.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Offering: Procurement

In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the Manage Negotiation Styles task.

On the Manage Negotiation Styles page, select and edit one of your existing negotiation styles, or create a new negotiation style. (You can't edit a predefined negotiation style.)

In the Controls section, under the Requirements, select the AI Assist check box.

The requirement suggestions generated by AI may contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed before adding to the negotiation.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

• Create Supplier Negotiation (PON_CREATE_SUPPLIER_NEGOTIATION_PRIV)
• Edit Supplier Negotiation (PON_EDIT_SUPPLIER_NEGOTIATION_PRIV)

These privileges were available prior to this update.
