Redwood: Generate Reports on Demand
In certain circumstances, you might need to quickly generate a set of documents on demand. For example, after printing the shipping documents for a shipment, you realize that you forgot to provide a set for the carrier. If you can't recall the exact name of the process that generates these documents for you, it would rather be much easier if you could generate the documents directly from the shipment page itself.
Now, you can generate your shipping documents, receipt travelers, or transfer order status reports directly from application pages instead of running the specific process from the Schedule Processes work area.
To generate Shipping Documents:
- Navigate to the Shipments page using the Outbound Shipments task.
- In the Action column for the desired shipment, click the three dots.
- Select the Shipping Document action group and choose the document to download.
Here are the available documents:
- Packing Slip
- Bill of Lading
- Commercial Invoice
- Mailing Label
The selected document will be downloaded to your local machine.

To generate the Receipt Traveler Report:
- Navigate to the Received Lines page using the Received Lines task.
- In the Action column for the desired received line, click the Download icon.
- The receipt traveler report will be generated for the entire receipt associated with the line.

To generate the Transfer Order Status Report:
- Navigate to the Transfer Orders page using the Transfer Orders task.
- In the Action column for the desired transfer order line, click the Download icon.
- The report will include the status of all lines with the same Item, Source Organization, and Destination Organization as the selected line.

This feature saves you time and effort by allowing you to generate documents on demand from the respective application pages instead of requiring you to run a specific process.
