Redwood: Manage Work Orders Created with Outside Processing Supplier Operations

Use Maintenance Supervision and My Maintenance Work to view and execute work orders with supplier operations in Outside Processing (OSP). 

Maintenance Supervision

In Maintenance Supervision, you can create a single-asset-maintenance work order with supplier operations.

You can add supplier operations to a work order from:

• Create New maintenance work order drawer
• The Operations tab in work order details

My Maintenance Work

In My Maintenance Work, technicians now have the visibility into Outside Processing (OSP) operations in a maintenance work order. The OSP operation status before receiving the outside processing item will be In Process. After receiving the outside processing item, the status changes to Pending and then can be completed. However completion of the operation depends on various factors like out-of-sequence work order and materials requirements.

During Work Order Preview, technicians can view all operations including supplier operations. 

View Supplier Operations Details

A new action, View Supplier Operation Details, is available for supplier operations in both My Maintenance Work and Maintenance Supervision. You can view supplier operation details like automated purchase requisition, purchase order created for the outside processing service item, and the corresponding shipment line for the goods sent to the supplier. You can perform certain actions against the receipt like correction and returns.

You can now use Maintenance Supervision and My Maintenance Work to support Outside Processing (OSP), a subcontracting process where certain operations in a work order are performed by a subcontractor.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

• Supplier Operations can't be added for multiple asset work orders.
• When the Plant Parameter value for Purchase Requisition Trigger is set to Prior Operation Completion, the maintenance work order can't be enabled for out-of-sequence completion.
• When the maintenance work order is enabled for out-of-sequence completion, the supplier operation can't be enabled for shipment.
