Redwood: Report Material Transactions in a Warehouse Management System Enabled Organization and View Reservations
Customers often integrate work order transactions with an external warehouse management system or Oracle Fusion Cloud Warehouse Management (WMS). Release 24D feature 'Integrate Manufacturing and Maintenance Direct Work Order Transactions with Your Warehouse Management System' provides services and core application enhancements to support integrations of direct work order transactions with an external warehouse management system or Oracle Fusion Cloud Warehouse Management (WMS).
With this enhancement, you can now issue materials and provide the packing unit details during product completion transactions in Manufacturing using a Redwood page.
You can also use descriptive flexfields during component issue and product completion transactions in the Redwood pages.
If the work order components are reserved, then you can use the ‘View’ link against a component to see the reservation details for the component when performing material transactions from the Report Material Transaction Redwood page or the operator workbench.

Tips And Considerations
- The 24D feature 'Integrate Manufacturing and Maintenance Direct Work Order Transactions with Your Warehouse Management System' feature is based on a permanent Opt In: Integrate Manufacturing and Maintenance Direct Work Order Transactions with Your Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure that you've enabled the Integrate manufacturing and maintenance with WMS for the inventory organization parameter before using this feature.
- Ensure that you've enabled the subinventory to capture the packing unit for product completions and returns to track LPNs in WMS.
- Necessary on-hand inventory for performing material issues must be present in the supply subinventory.
- The packing unit provided during the work order completion should be a new License Plate Number (LPN) in WMS or an existing LPN in Located status.
- The packing unit provided during the work order return should be an existing LPN in Received or Located status, and the product being returned must be present in the LPN.
- You can also report material transactions for a work order operation through the operator workbench. Refer to the 24D feature Report Material Transactions for a Work Order Operation Executed at a Workstation for more information.
