Redwood: Send Redwood-Style Notifications for Production Exceptions

You can now view the FYI notification that's generated when a production exception is reported in Redwood style and format. The FYI notification provides the details of the exception, such as the exception number, type, and severity, as well as the impacted work order operations.

The Work Order link in the notification opens the Work Order page. The link takes you to either the Redwood page or the Classic page for Work Order, based on the setting for the ORA_WIE_MANAGE_WORK_ORDERS_REDWOOD_ENABLED profile option. If the profile option is set to Yes, the link takes you to the Redwood page. If it’s set to No, it takes you to the Classic page.

This feature provides a consistent Redwood user experience between the FYI notification and the corresponding work order pages.

Steps to Enable

Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Tips And Considerations

  • You can enable and disable the opt-in to view either the Redwood-style or the classic production exception notification.
  • The Redwood-style notification uses Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP). Administrators can personalize the brand logo, styling, and layout of the notification to meet their business needs.
